Born in 1993 and raised amidst the serene landscapes of rural Derbyshire, Lydia grew up in a family deeply ingrained in the rich tradition of textiles manufacturing. Her early years were steeped in the stories and skills passed down through generations, fostering a profound appreciation for the craft.

Frustrated by long lead times and inconsistent quality from overseas manufacturers, Lydia identified a significant gap in the industry. Driven by a vision to revolutionise the furniture and upholstery market, Lydia founded BY LYDIA. Her brand promises stunning, high- quality pieces made in England within six weeks. BY LYDIA prides itself on using responsibly sourced materials and collaborating with skilled artisans who have been crafting furniture for the UK’s top interior designers for years.
